Capturing the Splendor of Nature and Divine Light
Birds of Fall 2015 and Winter 2016

I was so blessed to encounter two new bird species for me....an Indigo Bunting and a Swamp Sparrow...both species photographed at the LA Arboretum. And, I photographed a Peregrine Falcon and a Merlin Falcon, in my own neighborhood, which is truly amazing!

This is not the best picture, but it is of an adult Peregrine Falcon in my neighbor's pine tree. In the more than 30 years I have lived in my home, I have never seen a Peregrine Falcon in my neighborhood, so when I heard the call of the falcon, I grabbed my camera to document the moment. This falcon was photographed on October 15, 2015.
