A beautiful adult Hermit Thrush at my water trough in my back yard. I have never seen a Hermit Thrush in my area since this migratory species is generally found in forests. And, when I have encountered a Hermit Thrush in the forest, they generally are secretive birds and prefer not to be photographed.

So, to see this bird so out in the open, and let me photograph it, was a wonderful surprise!
