Capturing the Splendor of Nature and Divine Light
Birds of Spring 2014
Welcome to my visual diary of the beautiful birds I photographed during the spring months. I was so blessed to photograph a Black-throated Magpie Jay where I work!

This is a female Black-throated Magpie-Jay that was photographed in Burbank, CA on May 9, 2014. This bird was busy building a nest in the area. The Black-throated Magpie-Jay is native to Northwest Mexico and this species has been seen in Burbank dating back to 2010. No one knows for sure if this is a wild bird or escaped from a breeder. Either way, it was a great surprise to see her and a treat to photograph her.
