Capturing the Splendor of Nature and Divine Light
Birds of Spring 2020
Welcome to my visual diary of the beautiful birds I photographed during the Spring. This season was like no other since my state, like most states in the United States, ordered citizens to shelter in place for most of the season. Thus, the birds featured here were photographed in my garden or within walking distance of my home. Spring migration is always an especially good time to see bird species I would not normally see, so I was blessed to have nine (9) migrating species make a visit in my garden!

Breakfast is served! Terri's diner was still open for business in spite of the required physical distancing!
This video features adult Band-tailed Pigeons at my platform feeder, which I fill with safflower seed, and one lone Mourning Dove that joins them. Look at the size difference of these birds! There are also a number of Fox Squirrels running around in the background to get peanuts.
Plus, you will hear the calls of a Nuttall's Woodpecker, an American Crow, American Goldfinches, White-crowned Sparrows, and Old World Sparrows.
