Capturing the Splendor of Nature and Divine Light
Birds of Spring 2020
Welcome to my visual diary of the beautiful birds I photographed during the Spring. This season was like no other since my state, like most states in the United States, ordered citizens to shelter in place for most of the season. Thus, the birds featured here were photographed in my garden or within walking distance of my home. Spring migration is always an especially good time to see bird species I would not normally see, so I was blessed to have nine (9) migrating species make a visit in my garden!

A Northern Mockingbird at my meal worm feeder with an anxious female House Sparrow waiting in line! During the Spring, I go through pounds of meal worms as the birds feed their babies. The Mockingbirds are quite aggressive in ensuring that they get first choice of the worms as soon as I fill up the feeder cups.
