A Red-whiskered Bulbul perched in a pomegranate tree.
The Red-whiskered Bulbul is native to tropical regions of Asia, including India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Myanmar, and the south China coast. Escaped caged birds were introduced and established colonies in North America. This particular bird was photographed in Arcadia, California, where there is a large population.
