Capturing the Splendor of Nature and Divine Light
Birds of Spring 2013
Welcome to my visual diary of the beautiful birds I photographed during the spring months. I was so blessed to photograph a rare bird for the Los Angeles area, a Baltimore Oriole, which I photographed at the LA Arboretum.

A male Baltimore Oriole sipping nectar from a Grass Tree, which is native to Southern Australia. This bird was photographed in Arcadia, CA, so it is considered a "rare" bird for the LA County area since this bird is not native to the area and does not normally migrate to LA. Baltimore Orioles are a bird of eastern North America and most birds winter in Mexico, Colombia and Venezuela.
