Capturing the Splendor of Nature and Divine Light
Vesica Piscis
“Nothing but a symbol? People die for symbols. People have hope because of symbols. They're not just lines. They're histories, cultures, traditions, given shape.” - Roshani Chokshi
This gallery shows The Light (spirit/energy) using their Light bodies to form the symbol of a Vesica Piscis or, to display a Vesica Piscis within their Light.
The Vesica Piscis is Latin for “Vessel of the Fish,” because it looks a lot like a fish. The figure consists of two overlapping circles creating a pointed oval between them. Because the Vesica Piscis is created by crossing two circles, it became a symbol of the union of opposites like heaven and earth, male and female, and spirit and matter. The shape was also known historically as the mandorla (Italian, “almond”), after the shape of the nut. The mandorla was commonly used in Christian art as an aureole around religious figures like Jesus and Mary, to signify their role in bridging the divine and human realms.
While I decided not to name the Light Beings showcased in this gallery, I can say that the majority of images are of The Light of Jesus and Mother Mary. A coincidence? I think not!
