Capturing the Splendor of Nature and Divine Light
THE RAINBOW STAR 2020
That twinkling star in the sky, with the full spectrum of colors, is Sirius. The brightest star visible from Earth. Every night the star puts on a light show when the same turbulence that causes it to twinkle refracts its light waves to shine in different shades. Its multicolored nature has earned Sirius the nickname "Rainbow Star."
You can see the pops and flashes of colors coming off Sirius with the naked eye. So, one night I decided to simply take a picture, using my 400 mm lens, and what I captured was awe inspiring. The colors were spectacular and varied each night. And, the star seemed to communicate by displaying different letters, numbers and shapes. When I showed the images to my friends, they loved them so much, that I decided to share them with you.
